Years in the future of the X-Men universe, the existence of mutants is in a substantial decline. Hidden away from the rest of humanity, Logan nurses an indisposed Professor Xavier. Not in good shape himself, the duo are soon interrupted by a gang of hostile individuals, who are on the search for an extraordinary young girl. The girl happens to possess impressive ability and combative powers, similar to Wolverine himself. It’s down to the drained warrior to get the girl away from evil clutches in a live or die sequence of events.

The Neon Demon (2016) does seem to support a belief that contemporary women and young females identify their role as one to be looked at my males and everyone else around them. Director Nicolas Winding Refn fashioned together a shocking depiction of the modelling industry and even portrays these supposed truths in such a way that almost deems offensive to some viewers.

Covering the books written by Lemony Snicket, the latest original series to arrive on Netflix is the book adaptation of ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events‘. Originally made into one singular film back in 2004 under the same name, the narrative follows three siblings recently orphaned after a fire destroying their family home; propelling them into a world lacking the stability and safety they were accustomed to.

Nearing the end of 2016, it’s about time to reflect on the releases of this year. Thanks to Cineworld Unlimited, I’ve managed to get to my local cinema a vast amount of times this year, so I’ve got a lot to choose from. As it was 2016, I’ve gone with a selection of 16 films that have topped my cinema year. This is just my opinions here; all views are my own and are selected through the UK cinema release dates.

Dedicated to her, the book depicts a character doubling as Edward, battling dark and enthralling circumstances.

A punk rock band take a controversial gig that leads to an unexpected fight for survival in thriller feature ‘Green Room’

Following a succession of unfortunate circumstances, a four piece punk rock band are close to giving up on life on the road. But when information on a potential gig in a secluded part of Oregon comes to their attention, they take it as their only shot for restoration. After a heated performance, the members unintentionally encounter a brutal act. Witnessing unwanted circumstances results in the friends situated in a ambush ruse, trapped in the backstage green room. The group are compelled to work together with a fellow witness, in a fight for their survival against the venue owner and his crew.
