Ranking the MCU so far.

It’s no secret that I’m quite a superhero nerd and with Avengers: Infinity War looming, I thought it to be high time to get up close and personal with the last ten years of MCU and everything they have had to offer for cinema. Having recently binged through phases one to three (up to, and including Black Panther), I am now ready to share my (somewhat flippant) rankings of all eighteen films so far. In no way is this list set in stone; I may look back at it in a week and complete disagree but for now, these are my thoughts.

Most Anticipated of 2018

2017 may be gone, but 2018 is only just beginning. There are plenty of things to get excited for in the coming year in terms of entertainment releases. From Marvel blockbusters to rock returns, it is time to explore the album and films that will be coming to our eyes and ears this year.

Top 17 Films of 2017

Time to look back over the films that have come to our screens in the last 12 months and which takes top spot.

It’s been a while since films have been discussed on this ol’ blog, but as it’s the end of the year, it seems apt to delve into the somewhat small number of films that I did get to see at the cinema this year. I will admit right now that the list is considerably smaller than the previous year, but as music has taken over as the main focus of the site then I can also admit I have slacked in other entertainment environments. This list may be small, but there have been some total crackers from 2017 to still celebrate. (Based on UK release dates)

An unlikely group of high school students find themselves pulled together by the discovery of five mysterious coloured stones that they soon realise contains a great power that has been cast upon them from the previous generation of super warriors. Forced to overcome their personal issues, the teenagers must harness their new strengths and work together in order to save the world from a remerged, alien treat and become the next age of Power Rangers.

Years in the future of the X-Men universe, the existence of mutants is in a substantial decline. Hidden away from the rest of humanity, Logan nurses an indisposed Professor Xavier. Not in good shape himself, the duo are soon interrupted by a gang of hostile individuals, who are on the search for an extraordinary young girl. The girl happens to possess impressive ability and combative powers, similar to Wolverine himself. It’s down to the drained warrior to get the girl away from evil clutches in a live or die sequence of events.
