2018 is already quite the landmark of a year for Bedford-bred alt-rockers Don Broco. Having been ten years since forming, they also celebrate the release of their third full-length record ‘Technology’. Released February 2nd 2018, the album features previously released tracks ‘Everybody’, ‘Pretty’ and ‘T Shirt Song’, alongside many other incredibly catchy and energetic tracks.

Top 17 Gigs of 2017

A brilliant year for gigs results in quite a end-of-year list featuring some cracking bands and festivals

After a pretty dismal year for concerts in 2016, I hit back with a massive bang and booked gig after gig to get back into the scene. This year was a whirlwind of festivals, press gigs and stadium concerts, witnessing the likes of rock giants Guns n’ Roses, metal titans Iron Maiden and Metallica and some of my favourites of all time including Lower Than Atlantis, Paramore and Don Broco. Alongside existing favourites, I also discovered some amazing new talent through the months and got to witness some great events of the year. It’s time to go through some of the top nights that will stick with me for a long time.

Fireball’s Fuelling the Fire Tour – Bristol 12.10.17

A selection of current ska and punk legends took to the Bristol O2 stage as part of the renowned Fireball whiskey sponsored tour around the United Kingdom. Day two of their non-stop party train saw Reel Big Fish taking headline spot, supported by Pennsylvanian Anti-Flag, Mad Caddies, Fireball’s hottest band Sweet Little Machine and local competition winners Tree House Fire. A packed, sold-out night that brought together the best influences of punk, rock, ska, country and everything in between.

Fat Lip Fest 2017 Review

Fat Lip has already made itself known around the South West, providing a popular alt-rock night every month in Bristol. As the first year producing a festival line-up, the brand has definitely created something pretty special that is sure to continue to bring in some big names in the rock, punk and alt genres in future endeavours. Already with a diverse selection of bands and a crowd to match, this little festival has plenty of potential to make an even bigger name for itself.
